Information for Potential Sponsors

About the North Carolina Association for Behavior Analysis

NCABA is a non-profit state organization for people who are interested in the study and practice of behavior analysis. NCABA is an affiliated chapter of the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) and is devoted to promoting research and practice that will advance the understanding of human behavior. Our workshops and annual conferences provide wonderful outlets for communities to exchange discussions on issues related to behavior analysis.

Among the people attending the conference are professionals and paraprofessionals from organizations serving a variety of individuals, including those with disabilities. University faculty, students and parents are also important attendees at our annual conferences.

Cosponsors and advertisers are essential to the success of our 22nd annual conference (to be held February 16th—18th, 2011). Your participation helps (a) connect attendees to valuable services and programs related to behavior analysis, and (b) encourages full participation of community members and students in the conference through support to defray registration or travel expenses. In addition, all donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by the law.

Categories of Sponsorship and Contribution

A. General Donation

NCABA accepts general and specific contributions. Your contribution will help us to cover the expenses of our annual conference and to keep registration fees affordable for all. Your contribution will be acknowledged through our website, newsletter and in the conference program book.

B.  Presenter Sponsorship

You may designate that your contribution be used to support students and/or out-of-state keynote speakers to attend the annual conference. Whether you choose sponsorship of students, out-of-state keynote speakers, or both, your contribution will help defray lodging and travel expenses. This will enable additional out-of-state speakers, or speakers from a greater distance to present and/or will allow students to present who would be unable to do so without your sponsorship.

C. Exhibition/Booth

A poster session is held at each conference where professionals and students present their research. Most of the 120 expected conference attendees will browse through this 45-minute session. You are able to promote your company or organization at the conference by reserving your exhibit booth space for this session for the fee of $25.00. If you do not want to have a representative at the session, you can ship your materials to us in advance and they will be displayed for you at no additional cost. You may also reserve a table beside the registration booth that will be available throughout the conference. Because this option is limited to only one vendor per year, the cost for this is $500.00.

D. Conference Packet Insert

You can advertise your company or organization at the upcoming annual conference by submitting an advertisement that will be included in all attendees’ conference folders. The cost varies based on the portion of a standard page (8-1/2” x 11”) you would like to reserve for your advertisement.

¼ page    – $10.00            ½ page    –$20.00            Full page – $40.00

E. Items with Company Organization Logo

Your logo can be placed on items that are given to conference attendees at the beginning of the conference or items that are used throughout the 3-day event. Other than purchasing the items you select, there are no fees associated with this type of sponsorship. A few of the many options available to you are listed below:

Ink Pens: Your name will be imprinted on the pens distributed at registration and used throughout the conference in the following format:

Carry Bags: Your name and logo will be printed on bags handed out to all attendees and used for years to come. If you wish, you may also provide literature to be handed out in the bags.

Cocktail Napkins: You can include your name and logo on napkins that will be used during the refreshment breaks at the conference.

F. Event Sponsorship

Refreshment Break: During the conference, refreshments are served at breaks twice a day between sessions. If you choose to sponsor a break, your company/organization name and logo will be displayed and space will be provided for you to provide giveaway products to our attendees. You may supply NCABA with your company/organization logo cups or napkins to display at this session and you will be allowed to submit company/organization materials for display during this break if desired. The minimum cost for sponsoring a break is $150.00. You may elect to donate additional money if you would like to provide additional food or beverage for your sponsored break.

Meet & Greet Reception:
A session from 1pm to 2pm where desserts and beverages are served on the 2nd day of our conference is open for sponsorship. This session is set up so that attendees can speak with you in an informal manner regarding your company or organization and at the same time allows attendees to meet and socialize with other attendees. Most conference registrants attend a portion of this session so you are able to contact more individuals. If you choose this type of sponsorship you, are also given an Exhibition/Booth space at the poster session. Other than the hotel cost for food and beverage there is no fee associated with this. The cost for food and beverages served in the past ranged from $500.00 to $1,000.00 and you will be consulted prior to menu selection.

G. Customize Your Contribution

If you do not see an option that meets your needs or budget, and have ideas for how you would like to contribute, please contact us to customize your sponsorship.
