The North Carolina Association for Behavior Analysis (NCABA) stands in unwavering solidarity with the immigrants and immigrant families who contribute so deeply to the vitality, diversity, and strength of our communities across this state.

We recognize and affirm the value of every person, regardless of their country of birth or immigration status. Immigrants in North Carolina are our neighbors, our co-workers, our children’s classmates, and our clients. As behavior analysts, we are acutely aware that thriving communities are built on inclusion, respect, and opportunity — principles that align closely with our professional commitment to supporting human dignity, growth, and well-being.

Immigrants play a vital role in the strength and well-being of North Carolina’s communities. More than 1.09 million North Carolina residents are foreign-born — nearly 10% of the state’s population — and over 486,000 children have at least one immigrant parent. Immigrants also make up approximately 11% of the state’s workforce, contributing across education, agriculture, business services, health care, and other essential sectors.

To the immigrant communities of North Carolina: we see you. We value you. We are committed to standing with you — not just in words, but in action.

Together, we can build a future in which every individual, regardless of where they were born, has the opportunity to contribute, grow, and belong.
